A couple weeks ago I got to hang out with the Finnels in their amazing new yard surrounded by apple and kiwi and big old northwest trees. Little Wyeth will grow up with a whole world to discover in that garden. It was fun watching him running around and exploring all afternoon.

I have only known this little family for a couple of years but they feel like old friends. I think there is something about going through early parenthood together that bonds people. Since these guys have moved away from Seattle, this was my first meeting with baby Jessup. He’s so charming and just as cute as his big sister, Junie. In the end this was more a get together with old friends than a baby photography shoot but I hope I got it all right.
I’ve been a little obsessed with Instagram lately. I’ve had an account for a while but didn’t use it all that often until I realized what a little tool for inspiring creativity it is for me. Not only am I inspired by all the talented and creative people there are to follow but I’m using it to challenge myself to take photos in a new way. A smaller, square format, highly portable way. So anyway, here’s a little bit of my life from lately: a trip to the San Juan Islands, baking muffins, hanging out with Leo, and playing around with things in my house.
Between Juli’s infectious smile, Billy’s sweet doting manner, and their lively household of seven (these two, three cats, and two dogs), you know this baby is going to have a happy childhood.
